Mrs. Garcia earned her degree in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University in 1988. She also earned English as a New Language certification from the University of Houston and the University of Wisconsin. She has taught in Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, Wisconsin, and Florida, where all of her children were born.  After staying home with her three children, Meredith, and twins Ian and Jack, she returned to teaching here at NES, first as the ENL teacher and the last five years in First Grade.

Mrs. Garcia loves helping students realize they know more than they thought they did and watching their faces light up as they learn more each day! 

In her spare time she enjoys reading, watching and helping in her children's extra curricular activities, and assisting in various programs at her church.
