Mrs. Scaggs began her teaching career in 1994 in Indianapolis.  After teaching for two years there, she moved to Newburgh in 1996 and has been teaching at Newburgh Elementary school since then.  She received her Bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University and her Master's degree from the University of Southern Indiana.

Mrs. Scaggs enjoys spending time with her husband, Gary, and two grown sons, Griffin and Collin.  She also enjoys traveling and going to concerts.

Mrs. Scaggs is always looking forward to a new school year and the challenges/rewards it brings.  She is still in contact with many former students and loves to see how they have grown.
