Jennifer Groseclose

Jennifer Groseclose

1st Grade Teacher

Mrs. Groseclose has always loved teaching. When she was 16, she began coaching figure skating and continued coaching competitive skaters for almost 15 years. In 2005, she began teaching after earning her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a Kindergarten Endorsement from the University of Southern Indiana. At USI, she was the captain of the Women's Golf Team and president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She earned her Master's degree from Oakland City University. Her research focused on helping students with Dyslexia overcome reading challenges. She is Orton Gillingham trained and has an Indiana Reading Specialist Certificate.

Mrs. Groseclose's passion is helping children focus their natural curiosity and energy to become life long lovers of learning. Her classroom is an active place where students are constantly participating in their learning as they build a strong foundation in reading, writing, and math while discovering more about science and history.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Michael and twins, Jacob and Timothy.
